enough to make some people believe that lefthanders have an advantage in sports.​

In reality, there is a great disadvantage for lefthanders in the way sports are taught
to lefthanded children and young adults.  This causes many of them to lose interest
because they have fewer opportunities to learn, to participate, and to have fun.
